PUBLIC MEETING FOR SCHOETTLER ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

PUBLIC MEETING FOR SCHOETTLER ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The City of Chesterfield has an improvement project planned for the southern portion of Schoettler Road near Clayton Road.  Construction is scheduled to begin in late April 2020.  The project includes the construction of a center turn lane from Clayton Road to Georgetown Road and a designated right turn lane near Clayton Road.  The project also includes new sidewalk along the east side of Schoettler Road between Amberleigh Hill Court and Schoettler Manor Court.

In order to safely and efficiently construct the project, Schoettler Road will be restricted to one-way southbound traffic from Georgetown Road/Schoettler Manor Court to Clayton Road during a portion of the construction.  A signed detour will be established for traffic wishing to travel north on Schoettler at Clayton Road.  The detour will route vehicles from Clayton Road to Baxter Road, to Old Baxter Road, to Highcroft Drive, and back to Schoettler Road.  It is anticipated that the one-way restriction will be in place for six to eight weeks.  It is expected that the one-way restriction will begin early summer.  The exact timing of the one-way restriction will not be finalized until a contractor has been selected and a detailed schedule provided and approved by the City.

An informational open house is scheduled for Wednesday March 4, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chesterfield City Hall, 690 Chesterfield Parkway West, Chesterfield MO, 63017.  There will be no formal presentation so please feel free to arrive at any time during the time period specified and City Staff will be available to discuss the project and answer any questions.
