Chesterfield Receives Highest Bond Rating

Moody's Investors Service, an independent, national bond-rating company has awarded the City of Chesterfield its "Aaa" rating. Chesterfield is the only city in Missouri to attain this rating from Moody's. This determination was based largely on the City's successful management of its many fiscal obligations and its overall financial strength. This rating is a measure of the quality and safety of a bond, based on the issuer's financial condition and indicates the likelihood that a debt issuer will be able to meet scheduled interest and principal repayments. Typically, Aaa is highest (best), and D is lowest (worst) with the Aaa rating carrying the smallest degree of investment risk.
