City Receives Tree City USA Status

The Arbor Day Foundation has awarded the City of Chesterfield with it's Tree City USA Award for the 12th consecutive year. In order to receive the Tree City USA status, the City must meet four standards including having a dedicated department or board responsible for tree care, have a community tree card ordinance in place, the establishment of a comprehensive community forestry program, and an Arbor Day observation and proclamation.

"This award demonstrates Chesterfield's ongoing dedication to continually improving the community's natural resources, and the value the City places on preserving and enhancing our environment," stated Mayor Nations.
