Westbound I-64 Traffic to be moved off 1930s Boone Bridge

MoDOT will move westbound I-64 traffic off the 1930s Daniel Boone Bridge this week and onto the 1980s bridge.  This will require crews to close one lane of westbound I-64 before Chesterfield Airport Road starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 4.  A second lane and the ramp from Chesterfield Airport Road onto westbound I-64 will close at 10 p.m.

Two of the three lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday, November 5 and at that time, traffic will be using the 1980s bridge, which previously carried eastbound traffic.  Three lanes will be open across the bridge by Thursday afternoon.  The right lane will remain closed across the bridge until the end of the year.

In addition, there will be a traffic split leading up to the bridge with two lanes of I-64 going to the left and one to the right.  That will remain in place until mid-November.
