Safety Town is a nationally recognized preschool safety program which teaches 4, 5 and 6 year-olds about a wide variety of safety issues including bicycle safety, water safety, school bus safety and stranger danger. The program includes classroom activities as well as outside hands-on activities in the miniature Safety Town city. All Safety Town sessions for 2020 will be held at:

SESSION 1 June 1 - June 12 10:00 AM - NOON
SESSION 2 June 1 - June 12 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
SESSION 3 June 15 – June 26 10:00 AM - NOON
SESSION 4 June 15 – June 26 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
SESSION 5 July 6 - July 17 10:00 AM - NOON
SESSION 6 July 6 - July 17 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Online and walk-in registration for the 2020 Safety Town sessions will begin on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 8:00am.
The program is hosted & staffed by the Chesterfield Police Department in cooperation with the Chesterfield Rotary and the Chesterfield Kiwanis. The program is conducted for six, two-week sessions during the summer months.

Safety Town is one of the department's most popular programs. In addition to commissioned police officers, the Safety Town staff includes teen counselors from area middle and senior high schools who assist the police officers in leading the program. Registration preference is given to those children who have NOT previously attended a Safety Town session.
