SEASONAL HEAD LIFEGUARD

Overview
Under direct supervisor of the Pool Manager, Recreation Specialist, Recreation Manager. The Head Lifeguard position is responsible for assisting the Pool Manager in facility supervision and administering activities at the Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center. On-going managing and assisting of Lifeguards on stand. As well as, providing quality customer service and safe and clean aquatic facility.
Must be available to work Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and be on-call.
Responsibilities
Oversees and helps train part-time Lifeguard staff
Records accurate records concerning attendance, accident reports, pool readings, and inventory reports.
Maintains Lifeguard skills at test ready performance.
Responsible for opening and closing of Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center on a daily basis
Participates in Lifeguard audits in house and 3rd party audits
Responds to emergency situations and maintains working knowledge of EAP procedures for the facility.
Handles staff disciplinary write ups when needed- consults with Pool Manager.
On-going communication with Pool manger and Recreation Specialist. \ Recreation Manager
Assist with Daily and weekly maintenance and upkeep of the Aquatic Environment.
Monitor Pool equipment, locker rooms, balcony, patrons and staff in order to maintain a safe environment.
Responsible for planning and teaching in-service topics and testing lifeguards’ skills.
Enforce all aquatics facility rules, policies and procedures, making sure the rest of the staff enforces those rules as well.
Instruct and assist all group swim lessons when needed. Also, provide swim lesson training when needed.
Exhibits a professional image, behavior, appearance and demeanor at all times.
Assist in seasonal maintenance of opening and closing of Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center
Maintains positive experience for every patron and responds to internal and external requests without delay.
Works well with others, creates a teamwork atmosphere for fellow co-workers, and treats all individuals with dignity and respect.
On-time for all scheduled shifts and cover for other staff when needed.

SEASONAL HEAD SWIM COACH

Overview
The City of Chesterfield is seeking a Head Swim Coach for the Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the health, safety and enjoyment of all swim team participants during all swim team events.
Attend all swim team functions, including, but not limited to, practices, meets and parent meetings.
Attend all meetings set forth by the Recreation Manager/Recreation Specialist and Parent Reps.
Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations set forth by the Municipal Swim League and City of Chesterfield governing the conduct of the swim team and its participants.
Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitude.
Start and end practices on time.
Instruct daily workouts for swimmers between the ages of 5-18.
Develop meet entries and line-ups for each swim meet.
Keep daily attendance, progress reports, accident reports and any other necessary record keeping for the Municipal Swim League and City of Chesterfield.
Work effectively with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
Properly care for all swim team equipment during the season. Return all equipment to their designated areas promptly following each practice/meet.
Assist in facility set up and cleanup for each practice and home swim team meet.
Respond to all participant needs in a courteous manner and report comments/complaints to the Recreation Manager/ Recreation Specialist.
Handle grievances cases involving team participants. Report serious cases to the Recreation Manager/ Recreation Specialist.
Assist all Aquatic Staff with established emergency action plan procedures developed by the department.
Assist with the City of Chesterfield Aquatic programming and events as needed.
Communicate frequently and clearly with Parent Rep(s).
Assist with additional swim team programming/events.
Coaches will be available and on deck Monday through Friday from 7:00 – 10:15 AM during season and Monday and Wednesday evening practices from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Also, coaches will arrive for swim meets 30 minutes prior to warm ups.

Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Head Guards, Pool Managers, Recreation Specialists, Recreation Manager. Lifeguard is preventing aquatic emergencies by maintaining 10/20 surveillance protection and enforcing pool rules. As well as providing quality customer service and safe and clean aquatic facility.
Must be available to work: Days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe aquatic environment for the public.
Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations governing the conduct of pool patrons.
Lifeguard skills maintained at Test Ready Skills at all times.

Responsibilities
Position Summary:

Responsibilities
The Summer Camp Counselor will work under the general supervision of the Recreation Specialist and Summer Camp Director. Counselors will lead and participate in a variety of activities for our campers to ensure a positive experience. Responsibilities
