Responsibilities
Physically participates in the construction and maintenance of park, recreation, beautification areas, rights-of-ways, and public grounds;
Maintenance and repair of all park equipment, tools, and supplies;
Assists in turf maintenance programs for a high quality sports complex, parks, beautification areas, rights-of-ways, and public grounds;
Assists in the planning, organization, implementation and maintenance of various types of landscapes within the City. Areas include but are not limited to traditional perennial and annual plantings, large native grass lands, trees, wildflower areas and wetland locations;
Operates moderately heavy landscape equipment including mowers, tractors, earth tillers, landscape rakes and blades, augers and skid loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and loaders;
Performs a wide range of duties associated with the maintenance and operation of an athletic facility;

Skill Requirements
Knowledge
Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the general maintenance and operations of parks and recreation facilities, working knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions. Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in developing and maintaining athletic fields and park facilities. Working knowledge of irrigation systems. Knowledge of standard hand and power equipment employed in the propagation and cultivation of athletic turf and grass areas.

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience
Minimum of one year experience in maintenance operations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Meet all DOT physical requirements. Valid Class B Commercial Driver's license within sixty (60) days of employment. Must maintain a valid and safe driving record. State of Missouri Pesticide Applicators License, National Playground Safety Inspectors Certification, International Society of Arborist Certification, CPR and AED certifications are desired.
Compensation

Overview
The City of Chesterfield is seeking Seasonal Lifeguards for the Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Head Guards, Pool Managers, Recreation Specialists, Recreation Manager. Lifeguard is preventing aquatic emergencies by maintaining 10/20 surveillance protection and enforcing pool rules. As well as providing quality customer service and safe and clean aquatic facility.
Must be available to work: Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a safe aquatic environment for the public.
Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations governing the conduct of pool patrons.
Lifeguard skills maintained at Test Ready Skills at all times.
Attendance of mandatory monthly in-service trainings 4 hours per month
Maintenance and cleaning of the pool, pool deck, concessions, locker rooms, showers, rest rooms, and other areas as directed by the managers.
Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitude.
Respond to all patron needs in a courteous manner and report comments/complaints to the manager on duty.
Ability to know and respond to facility Emergency Action Plan.
Must be on time for all shifts and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
Performs work associated with the construction and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, urban forests, and storm sewers. Operates dump trucks, backhoe, skid steer loader and attachments, sweeper, loader, and other equipment as assigned. Works with hot mix asphalt: shovels, rakes, places, and compacts asphalt mix. Works with Portland cement concrete: sets and removes forms; places, strikes off, levels, screeds, floats, finishes, and joints concrete. Spreads and compacts aggregate base and gravel. Operates vehicles and equipment. Installs drain pipes and cleans ditches. Assists in other duties as assigned.
Operates snowplow-equipped truck to spread deicing chemicals, and participates in other snow removal activities as assigned.
Rakes and cleans streets, sidewalks, gutters, storm drains shop, and yard
Welds, paints and performs other maintenance tasks.
Cares for plants. Removes, prunes and trims trees located within City rights of ways and on public grounds and Performs various landscaping, beautification, and plant care activities.
Sets up, cleans up and prepares for various civic or recreational programs or activities.
Assists in maintenance of tools, equipment and Knowledgeable in care and use of equipment. Maintains facilities and grounds of public parks and property.
Assists other divisions during emergencies and is on-call to respond.
Safely operates heavy trucks and pulls equipment floats (if Class A CDL), trailers, and hauls materials to work sites.
Available for call-ins outside regular working hours.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
