Resources for Older Adult Transportation
As we grow older, transportation can become a major challenge and yet vital for maintaining the quality of life and independence of our older adults and their caregivers. The following is a sampling of transportation assistance options for Chesterfield residents. Their services, eligibility criteria, fees, capabilities, types and scope of routes and hours of operation are varied. Metro Transit - St. Louis: Curb-to-curb public transportation offered both to the general public and to persons whose disabilities prevent use of regular, accessible, fixed route transit services. Older Adult Transportation Services (OATS): The Mission of OATS is to provide reliable transportation for transportation disadvantaged Missourians so they can live independently in their own communities. You can ride OATS for medical, essential shopping, business and nutrition purposes. On most routes, you will be picked up and delivered right at your front door. All drivers partake in regular training to ensure you ride safely. They are happy to assist you on and off the bus, and can also help with your groceries and other packages if needed. St. Luke’s offers senior adults transportation services through OATS if patients are receiving any kind of medical treatments at St. Luke's or seeing their physician. It is typically provided at no cost, but they assess it on a case by case basis.

St. Andrews Resources for Seniors System and St. Luke's Hospital provide a transportation/escort service for medical, social and family events. A paid personal assistant who is credentialed and background checked would accompany the client at all times. 314.726.5766.
CORP Neighbors Driving Neighbors: 314.615.4516
The St. Louis County Older Resident Program (CORP) provides volunteers who've had thorough background checks to transport County residents aged 60+ to and from medical appointments, local stores for essential shopping and other essential locations. There is no charge for the service.

St. Louis' total wheelchair accessible transportation service providing van rentals and chauffeur service to seniors or anyone with special needs. Doctors appointments and hospital transfers, family events, reunions, vacations, weddings, shopping trips, lunch/social gatherings. Airport and concierge service. On duty 7 days per week. Spirit Lift Transportation (formerly Mary Go Round Transportation)
We are a non-emergency medical transportation company based out of West St. Louis County. “Wheelchair Transportation You Can Trust.” Our services include transporting patients to and from St. Louis County area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, specialty hospitals, doctors’ offices, retirement centers, independent/assisted living communities, dialysis centers, cancer treatment centers, senior health care centers, special activities, the airport, and private residences.
