Flow

“Flow,” is an interactive sculpture created by Leland Drexler-Russell, that brings attention to the native plants of the Missouri wetlands: the Broadleaf Cattail (Ttypha Latifolia) and the Yellow Lotus (Nelumbo Lutea). The sculpture, located near the bridge in Central Park, contains four broadleaf cattail clusters and a large lotus flower with solar panels located in the petals. These petals powered by the sunlight, harvest energy to the lotus flower creating a glow at night, resting on a lily pad on the lake. The illuminated lake will create a scenic backdrop to the Chesterfield Amphitheater during summer events.
