Councilmember Gary Budoor

Gary Budoor, currently serving as the IT Manager at TKC Holdings (formerly Centric Group) since April 2012, also holds the position of Director of Community Service initiatives for the American Cricket Academy and Club, where he has been actively involved for over nine years.  In this capacity, Gary has played a pivotal role in organizing and leading various community service initiatives, coordinating volunteer opportunities, and distributing groceries and sandwiches to local food pantries in and around St. Louis weekly since March 2020.

Gary's commitment to community service is evident through the extensive volunteer work he and his team have contributed, totaling over 125,000 hours over the past nine years.  He has been involved in initiatives ranging from education and homelessness to providing PPE to frontline workers.  Gary's impactful contributions to the community have earned him numerous awards, including the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award, which he received consecutively from 2017 to 2021.

In addition to his professional and community service endeavors, Gary was elected to the City Council on April 6, 2021, running unopposed in the April 4, 2023 election.  Furthermore, his dedication to community service has been recognized by various organizations and individuals.  Notably, in 2020, he was honored with the George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award for his exceptional acts of kindness and service.  Governor Mike Parson also acknowledged Gary's community service initiatives and appointed him as a Commissioner for the Missouri Community Service Commission in March 2021.

Outside of his professional and community commitments, Gary is a dovoted family man, married to Sowjanya, and they are proud parents of two sons, Kausthubh and Rutvick.
