A Celebration of Community
These watercolor works by artist Linda J. Green-Metzler, long time resident of Chesterfield, are currently on exhibit at the Chesterfield Community Center now located in Chesterfield Mall. The paintings portray friends and neighbors living the good life, local parks, woods and river scenes, and the musicians who liven up our festival days and evenings.
Classically trained in fine arts painting in Chicago, New York City and Claremont, California, Linda has made St. Louis her home working as a graphic artist, illustrator, and watercolor studio and plein air artist for over 30 years. A scholarship recipient of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Life Member of the Art Students League of New York, where she received formative training, Linda holds a BFA in Painting from Scripps College, Claremont, California. She is the recipient of numerous awards for achievement in watercolor painting from regional arts groups including the St. Louis Watercolor Society and the Missouri Artisans Association (BOMH). Her commissioned works and original watercolors are in private collections around the country. Linda is currently represented by The Kodner Gallery in Ladue. She has enjoyed sharing her skills in numerous workshops over the years.
