Chesterfield Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee

The Chesterfield Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee (CCEAC) actively participates in city and regional events to promote resource conservation and environmental awareness. The CCE also develops and disseminates educational materials on topics such as recycling, composting and proper disposal of household hazardous waste.

The CCE hosts the an annual Earth Day celebration, community recycle drives, and other fun environmental education events. For more information about the Chesterfield Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee, view the CCE Brochure at the link below.

The Chesterfield Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee, acting in an advisory capacity to the Parks, Recreation and Arts Department, seeks to:

  • Research and recommend implementation, improvements, and extensions of all recycling issues relevant to the city.
  • Investigate and identify environmental issues to enhance the city's quality of life.
  • Provide material and discussions for education in the areas of recycling, conservation, and control of our environment.
  • Serve as a source of feedback to the Parks, Recreation and Arts Department for citizen recommendations and concerns for recycling and environmental issues.

The city is no longer offering monthly electronics recycling, but instead, we encourage you to bring your items to our Earth Day or Recycles Day Events. These drive-thru collections offer convenience for nearly anything to be recycled. Check our event details at the left of this page for more details.

If you would like to volunteer at one of the many CCE events or if you would like to be involved with the committee please call 636.812.9500 or email
